BEIJING, Oct. 31, 2017, /PRNewswire/ –  China’s domestic and foreign airlines plan to launch more than 100 new international routes along the #BeltandRoad Initiative. Meanwhile, newly established ‘The Belt and Road’ Inflight Internet Fund will increase the number of aircraft with in-flight Wi-Fi. The fund’s capital injection is measured ten billion yuan. China now has only 140 Wi-Fi-enabled aircrafts in operation, representing only 6% of the total size of China’s civil aviation fleet, according to the statistics. On the other word, each year nearly 500 million passengers are not connected to the most basic internet services during their flight. So the Chinese government has taken note of this high demand. In this article, you can find the more detailed statistic about Chinese netizens and inflight users.
